Waste Flow Diagram

Welcome to the Waste Flow Diagram Data Portal

The data and information in the data sets provided here are intended for use by persons possessing technical skill and knowledge in waste and resource management planning and data management.

While the data is provided in good faith, the core data has been collected using rapid assessment methodologies by independent study teams. Teams or individuals submitting data to the Waste Flow Diagram Data Portal have agreed that the submitted data may be considered to be "in the public domain". While relevant city or national authorities or statistical departments may have been consulted regarding the data, data published here may not be regarded as "officially approved or validated statistics".

GIZ and David Newby Associates (DNA) undertake a partial validation with a view to identifying its "reasonableness". DNA however cannot attest to the reliability of the data sets and cannot commit to data being updated. Neither GIZ, nor DNA, nor any of its employees, nor any partners involved in the development of the WFD methodology and tools, make any warranty, express or implied, including warranties of fitness for a particular purpose, or assume any legal liability or responsibility for the accuracy, completeness, or usefulness of any information provided (either isolated or in the aggregate), or represent that its use would not infringe privately owned rights.

While every reasonable effort is made to ensure the data quality, the data is provided "as is". The burden of fitness of the data lies completely with the user. The accuracy of any user’s statistical analysis and any reported findings are not the responsibility of DNA or its RWM.Global development partners. Nothing arising from the data should be taken to constitute DNA’s professional advice or a formal recommendation. DNA is not responsible for data management after extraction and transmission to the recipient.

Neither DNA, nor its RWM.Global development partners, warrant that the data collection tools, files, the servers and the databases used for data storage, extraction, management, and transmission are free of errors, viruses or bugs, and the recipient accepts that it is the recipient’s responsibility to make adequate provision for protection against such threats.

In using the WFD data made available on this portal, or by application of any of the WFD data tools, any user shall refrain from selling, or disseminating for profit, the data to any other individual, institution, or organisation without the written consent of GIZ and DNA. In no event shall GIZ, DNA, or its RWM.Global development partners, be liable for any incidental, indirect, consequential, or special damages of any kind, or any damages whatsoever, including, without limitation, those resulting from loss of profit, loss of contracts, goodwill, or business relationships, arising out of or in connection with the use of the data or tools.
